Jayne Bryant, the Labour member of the Welsh Assembly for Newport West, Supports Fair Game |
It's Fair Game Week from Wednesday April 13th and the campaign is after more political support.
The Aim:
The Government is expected to respond to the Fan-Led Review's findings very soon. We want that response to include a commitment to legislation in May's Queen's Speech. The Review, if implemented in full, with Fair Game's Sustainability Index, would finally embed financial sustainability, good governance, equality standards and fan & community engagement into our national game. So we need to get as many MPs and parliamentarians to commit to three things:
- Back Fair Game
- Push for legislation
- Promise to vote to back the Fan-Led Review
And we need your help!
Get in touch with your MP
During Fair Game Week, we want you to all you can to reach out to your MP. The aim is to get them to do one of three things:- Sign our pledge card
- Post a quote of support on Twitter
- Pose with our Selfie Card in Room R in Portcullis House between 2-4pm on 20 April
- Write to them
- Visit them
- Send them a Tweet
All the details you need (their email, address, twitter handle, and surgery times) can be found by putting your postcode into this website. And here is a step-by-step guide on how to send them a letter. Our partners at 38 Degrees have also developed a simple MP action as well.
Clubs
To make as much noise as possible, we have also asked all of our clubs to shout from the roof tops through all their channels. To help we are producing a range of materials for each of our clubs:- A video
- Programme Ads
- Ads for screens
Each of the videos will include an intro (either from one of our ambassadors, myself, or the mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham); a comment from a club representative; and a fan explaining their unique story and their love of the club.
How you can helphere.
