Earlier today BN published an article which, in essence, suggested that it was difficult to obtain a free ticket for next Saturday's game against Alfreton.
In particular it was felt that those not living near Hereford would probably miss out on the offer.
Since publication Hereford FC have been in touch with some clarification about the offer.
- We cannot make this offer available online or over the phone as the National Lottery requires clubs to have physical sight of each lottery ticket before giving the free ticket (we’re not allowed to accept photocopies or photos of tickets either)
- The lottery have imposed the 1:30pm cut off on matchday, not us
- We have opened the ticket office earlier (11am instead of 1pm) so that supporters have additional time on the day to purchase their ticket – we felt this was better option than opening during an evening in the week as supporters who live away from Edgar Street would be able to take advantage of the offer by setting off for Edgar Street a little earlier, rather than having to make a special trip to the ground during the week.
