Levi Andoh played right back for Hereford this afternoon in their 2-2 draw with Curzon Ashton. Captain Jared Hodgkiss was injured.
The young defender, who had two assists, was chosen to be the man of the match. Afterwards he spoke to the local media.
"A game of two halves really," said Andoh who is on loan from Ipswich.
"First half we did really well, got at them, conceeded early but we pulled it back to 2-1.
"Second half they just threw everything at us and we didn't handle it great but it's good to get a point, at least we got a draw out of it.
"It's always good to have a good performance, just help out the team as much as possible and I just really happy to get man of the match and two assists."
Andoh has played all along the back line.
"Right back is my preferred position, I enjoy playing left back but then I enjoy being on the pitch in general. I just do a job for the team.
"We should have come away with the three points but we'll just work on it and go again.
"I was encouraged to get up and at the left back down my side. The gaffer wanted me to push forward and that's when I feel most comfortable taking on people, getting balls in the box and creating chances."
George Forsyth helped bring Andoh to the club.
"He helped this (loan) come about and he got me in here so thanks to him and the gaffer for trusting me.
"This is what I need, I need first team football to get my name out there, get playing, get games and I'm enjoying it as much as possible."
Andoh's loan ends in early January. What are the chances of extending it?
"I spoke to my agent and the gaffer, we'll see what happens but it's looking good. I would be open to stay."
Hereford is Andoh's first senior team.
"It's a lot more physically demanding mens football, you can't switch off.
"Under 23's football is a lot less physical and I'm really enjoying the physical aspect of this and just gaining experience. I just need to keep playing games, more games and I improve, I improve after every game.
"I'm adapting to everything that's thrown at me and I'm learning week in, week out, so I'm just thankful to be playing here."
Will Ipswich be happy to continue your loan here?
"I just need games and if I can get games here that's fine with them."
