NEWS | Former Hereford United player Dean Smith leaves Aston Villa

Dean Smith played over 100 Football League games at Hereford United from 1994-1997. He left Edgar Street to join Leyton Orient for a tribunal set fee of £42,500.

He later became a manager with Walsall and Brentford and joined his boyhood club Aston Villa in 2018. After leading the team to promotion to the Premier League in 2019. Smith was sacked by Villa this lunchtime.
