It Was Good To Finally Score Said Mclean

Ryan Mclean scored Hereford's second goal at Guiesley this afternoon. He also set up the first which was scored by Ryan Lloyd.

"It was good to finally score, I've been waiting a very long time," said Mclean.

"I missed a few last week, the fans got onto me but it is what it is.

"I've proved them wrong now and hopefully I'll go on to score more."

Mclean had a chance to score a minute or so earlier.

"I should have scored, I scored the harder one everyone is saying in there. If I had put that one away and game's to bed. But I've gone and done it anyway so it doesn't matter."

Keith Hall, who did the interview, felt Mclean, Storey before his injury and Ismail were the difference when the ball was delivered in the right areas.

"Smuger was up there winning headers as well which helps us get up the pitch. Zeli was class today, first time he's come back.

"First half we sat back a bit and let them have the ball. They're not very good and we made them a lot better than they were especailly on this pitch.

"We said at half time it's no good letting them play easily when we can put pressure on them and they start kicking the ball out of play.

"We're better at pressing, we went back to what we know and looked a lot better.

"I didn't feel we would conceed even their penalty (late in the game after a hand ball).

"We feel a lot more confident now the chief is back. He's made a massive difference."

Next is Blyth Spartans at Edgar Street on Tuesday evening.

"Hopefully I can get a goal in front of the home fans.

"It's just about keeping on winning now, hopefully we can do it three times.

"I think Blyth are bottom of the league. Guiseley are below us and they weren't as bad as probably we anticipated they would be.

"We've got to keep being solid like we have been the last few games and I don't think they will be able to deal with it.

"Edgar Street is much better than most pitches in this league. And it massive so you get a lot of space and you can run at players."
