Jamie Bird 'scored' for Hereford in the HFA County Cup game last night. Unfortunately for him he was playing for Westfields whom he has recently joined.
After the game which the Bulls won 2-1, the former Hereford player spoke to the local media.
"It was a nice game to be involved in," said Bird.
"It was definitely good to be back playing here.
"I felt like I missed about ten chances but apart from that I really enjoyed it.
"I was desperate to score, I had a few good chances. I could have had three on another night but it's football!
"I haven't played much football in the last two years but coming to Westfields is a good opportunity to play week in, week out, and get my confidence back.
"I like playing at Edgar Street, it's an amazing ground."
Can Bird remember his goal against Lemington?
"Oh yes, I remember down the Meadow End, that was a wicked day that was, a Tuesday night I think it was. I enjoyed that one.
"I had one from exactly the same position but I decided to cross instead of shoot. That's football. I should have put my foot through it and hopefully bottom corner."
