Next Saturday Hereford travel to York and the first National North League fixture between the two clubs in York's new stadium.
Micky Cummins, York's assistant manager, expects a decent crowd for the game.
"I'm expecting a decent crowd again," said Cummins.
"We'll do our homework on them, we'll work on them and see what they're about.
"I think Spennymoor beat them 2-0.
"But any team coming here they seem to raise their game.
"It will be tough so we need to get prepared."
The two teams didn't meet last season because of Covid but in the season before Hereford stunned York with a 4-1 win at Bootham Crescent.
