New loan signing Dan Smith is expected to start for Hereford against AFC Fylde tomorrow afternoon.
The striker from Eastleigh will lead the line instead of Miles Storey who slotted in last Saturday at Bradford Park Avenue after Joey Butlin returned to Chasedown.
Manager Josh Gowling feels Smith has a lot to offer.
"Big strong boy," Gowling told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"He holds the ball up, wins his headers.
"First and foremost he works hard for his teams.
"He knows Luke Haines really well. They've played a lot of games against each other.
"I think he's going to be a real good addition to the squad."
Asked about how he managed to sign Smith, Gowling said he once played for Bournemouth.
"I know a few people down there and I've played against Ben Strevens the Eastleigh manager.
"The biggest thing for me is that the lad wants to play football, he wants to get back scoring goals.
"He came off the bench a lot last year, good experience as it's a league above ours.
"Pleased to get it down, we needed another striker. Hopefully he'll score goals so the fans will get off my back!"
