Hereford FC assistant manager Steve Burr spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester after this afternoon's 1-0 win over Woking in the FA Trophy semi-final.
"We knew we could do it," said Burr.
"We probably felt we should have won the game more comfortably than we did.
"We've got a great set of lads in there and it's nice to see them celebrate.
"We do our homework on every team and you put the hard work in and you put the graft in then you get your results.
"We've got to the final now, it's important we go there and try and win it. It's fabulous."
Burr was dancing up and down the pitch after the final whistle.
"I always thought in football, I've been around a long time, you enjoy these moments. It was unfortunate we couldn't have the fans in, come playing the final at Wembley you never know we might see a few fans there.
"There's a lot of life left in me yet, days like this keep me young."
Looking back Burr said it had been a difficult season.
"But I will say we've been in a privileged position to carry on playing and training."
Hereford will play Hornchurch in the final.
"It is a turn up, it's like today us beating a side from a higher league. But again we'll do our homework and we'll keep the lads ticking over.
"It's a long wait until we play but I suppose in some ways we are in the same situation as Hornchurch now.
"I've been to Wembley as a player and we've lost and I've been there when we've won so I know the two senarios.
"This for me to be part of a group of players and working with Josh has been fantastic and to get to a final, I think there are exciting times ahead at this football club.
"I feel this is just the start of what we can achieve.
"It's a nice reward for people who can't come to the game who have stuck with the team for years and years.
"I'm sure they will be celebrating in their lounges tonight with a few beers."
What was the outstanding moment for you today?
"The final whistle!
"The goal was tremendous, great work.
"But I though we created one or two good other opportunities that we should have done better with.
"The main thing about a semi-final is getting through because I've been in semi-finals before and lost and I know the feeling.
"You've only got to go in that dressing room, it's absolutely bouncing."
