Oliver Dowden, the Culture Secretary, has confirmed that National League Clubs are to receive £10M pounds to help them through their present difficulties mainly caused by supporters not being allowed to watch matches.
"National League football clubs are the beating heart of their communities and too precious to lose," he is quoted as saying.
"This £10 million fund will provide a bridge to help clubs survive this immediate crisis whilst we work together on the safe return of fans."
It's understood that this £10M will come from the National Lottery Promotional Fund as opposed to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
Clubs are expected to receive more details later this week and probably some money next week.
It's thought unlikely that clubs will get an equal share of the £10M. If they did it would amount to around £150,000 per club.
