An inquest into the death of former Hereford FC player coach Chris Barker has taken place.
According to the Daily Mail, Barker was found hanged in the garage of his Cardiff home on New Year's Day after losing both his parents. He had left notes before hanging himself.
Barker joined Hereford in July 2016 when Peter Beadle was manager but left in the following October to take up a post at Weston super Mare FC.
At the inquest his sister-in-law Tracey Barker said his death had 'shocked' the family and that there had been 'no warnings' that he had been having suicidal thoughts.
But she said he had been 'affected greatly' by the death of his father, who had motor neurone disease, and his mother, who died of cancer.
The coroner recorded a verdict of suicide.
