I Felt We Deserved Something From The Game Said Slade

Another defeat for Hereford this afternoon but a goal for Victor Sodeinde. Afterwards manager Russell Slade spoke to the media.

"Disappointed with the goals," said Slade.

"Brad should do better with that, he's under pressure. On another day could be a free kick as well. But we shouldn't have given the corner away in the first place, we had an opportunity to clear, we didn't.

"The second goal, first five minutes of the second half before we really got going we've kind of overplayed a little bit in the middle of the park giving the ball away. They've countered on us and got themselves a goal.

"Take those two things out of the game that Leamington have had, they've had very, very little else. May be one other opportunity in the game and that was offside anyway.

"And we've created three or four really good opportunities first half, a couple of good opportunities in the second period, so between the boxes there were some encouraging things.

"It was a pretty young team at the end, a little bit more experience and we might have turned it.

"I felt for them today because I thought we deserved something out of the game, if not all three points if I'm honest."

Victor Sodeinde went off with cramp in the middle of the second half.

"I thought Victor was a real threat today, he's nicked a goal for us before. We've got him back to fitness again but he's cramped - we're hoping at this stage that's all it is and it's not like a hamstring. We'll have to wait and see if it settles down over the next 48 hours.

"But yes he was really bright, he was on the end of most things we were trying to create in the first period and got himself a great goal as well.

"Kelsey Mooney worked very hard, unselfish, probably could have nicked himself a goal if he had gambled in the last few minutes.

"He's okay, he's somebody we like, he's somebody who will get better at this level.

"The two of them did really well today."
