Hereford FC will be without Harvey Smith for the remainder of the season as the young defender has been recalled by Bristol City.
Smith made his debut for the Bulls in a pre-season friendly against a Cardiff City XI.
In October he was appointed captain, somewhat surprisingly for a loanee and a young one at that.
His first game in charge was a drawn game away at Stockport. Even better for him he scored.
Smith described his goal.
"Eliot has crossed the ball in from a wide free kick and I started my run from a bit further out and I saw their big captain just in front of goal and I thought I'll just get in front of him and see what happens.
"I think Dins got the first nick and then I got a bigger head on target. From there it hit the net. I'm not sure if it took another deflection off their defender."
However an injury whilst playing for the Bristol City under 23 side in late December kept him on the sidelines.
And to make matters worse for Smith, during that time Josh Gowling and Jordan Cullinane Liburd had formed a partnership at the heart of the defence.
