Bulls Need To 'Step Up A Gear' Ahead of Spennymoor Trip

Hereford have an overnight trip to look forward to as they face Spennymoor in another important game in the National League North this weekend.

It's unlikely that Hereford will be relegated this season with 11 points currently between themselves and the drop zone, but defender Jordan Cullinane-Liburd says it's a chance for the players to enjoy their football and show what they can do.

Cullinane-Liburd said after Tuesday's defeat: "It's preparation on each game, we have to keep on playing and play the way that we do and get results.

"That's not any reason for us not to play to go in and win the game. We didn't hold the ball up very well, but if we step up a gear we should be able to get points from the games ahead, I don't see why not."

"They're another team that are up there, the next few games we're against teams that are in the promotion area and around.

"It's a chance for us to show what we can do as a team, and just try to enjoy the last few games of the season and just enjoy."

Head Coach Marc Richards is looking forward to the game, which he says will be tough with Spennymoor currently occupying a play-off place.

Richards said: "We're looking forward to it, having a run of Brackley, Spennymoor and Stockport is a tough ask, all in the top four I believe.

"We'll travel up on Friday for the Spennymoor game and we'll make sure our preparations are spot on and we'll give it a go on Saturday."

Meanwhile Jordan Cullinane-Liburd says he'll "see what happens" in the summer when his contract with Hereford is up.

It's thought only three players are currently on deals that will keep them at Edgar Street until next season, with Tom Owen-Evans, Kyle Finn and Keiran Thomas on contracts that run until the end of the 2019/20 season.

So the players should be looking to impress the management team should they wish to stay at Hereford next season, and Cullinane-Liburd says there's no reason why he wouldn't want to extend his stay at Edgar Street.

He said: "I'll finish the season with Hereford and then go from there and see what happens.

"Hereford is a good team and I don't see any reason why I wouldn't want to stay here any longer, so I'll carry on playing for Hereford, Hereford is my main at the moment and go from there."
