Richards Thanks Gloucester City

Newly appointed head coach at Hereford, Marc Richards, has thanked Gloucester City for his time at their club.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I leave Gloucester City," said Richards as reported by Gloucester FC.

"I have been involved with Gloucester City on and off for over 11 years as a player, player-coach, assistant manager and more recently as manager. The progress that has been made throughout the Club and on the Stadium in these past 10 months has been extremely encouraging. However, I have an opportunity I have felt too good to pass up.

"I would like to thank all the volunteers at the Club, the management board and the supporters for their faith in me this year and most importantly the players who have given their all for me during my time at the club. I wish them and Gloucester City Football Club all the best for the future and I hope Gloucester are back in the city soon”.

On behalf of Gloucester Rod Jenner added:

“We are of course very sad to see Marc, Will and Luke leave the Club, however, Marc feels that it is time to move to pastures new. I would like to thank him and Will for the job that they have done these past 10 months. I’d like to especially thank Will for stepping up and taking charge of the First Team for those few games in December last year. On behalf of the Directors, Management Board, and all those involved with the club, I want to wish them all the best for the future."
