Last Saturday the match of the day in the National North was between Brackley and table topping Chorley. The result was a 2-2 draw.
Brackley, who play Hereford next Saturday, were two up by half-time but former Hereford United midfielder Josh O'Keefe scored twice for Chorley in the second period to level the game.
Afterwards Brackley manager Kevin Wilkins said he was disappointed with some of his younger players.
"The way we performed in the first half, we created so many chances, you'd take coming off 2-0 up at half-time, we could have been home and dry.
"Then young players switch off and we gave them a lifeline back into the game.
"Without a shadow of a doubt we played our best half of football so far and against the league leaders.
"We knew we needed a third goal to make the game safe. Individually and collectively we have to do better."
Brackley are now 9th in the table, two places above Hereford, but have played one more game.
