Harris 'Approached Last Weekend' For Hereford Position

Tim Harris has said that he was only approached by Hereford FC about the new 'Head of Football ' role last weekend.

He said that the job had come at the right time after he left Tamworth.

"Timing sometimes in life is all about being in the right place at the right time," Harris told the Hereford Times.

After leaving Redditch Harris had helped his friend Mike Fowler at Tamworth.

"I didn't want to be out of football so decided to help him but unfortunately Mike resigned and I met Chairman Bob Andrews and I said it just wasn't right for me.

"A few days later Pete Beadle has left his position and I got approached last weekend to ask if I would be interested in a chat.

"When I sat down and saw the plan these guys had of what they wanted to do and to change the philosophy it was a too good opportunity to turn down.

"To have the opportunity to come in and help progress this club and hopefully take them back into the Football League is a fantastic opportunity for me and one that I'm really looking forward to."

Harris thinks the club needs to go full time, something he knows about.

"I've experienced the transition from part-time to full-time. If this club is going to get back into the Football League it needs to be full time. Sooner rather than later."
