Davies Rules Out Head Coach Role

Gareth Davies has confirmed to BN that he is not going for the role of head coach at Edgar Street.

Davies who was in the dug-out this afternoon said it wasn't at the right time for him.

"It's not at the right time for me in what I'm doing at the moment.

"I love my job with the FAW trust.

"I feel honoured and priviledged to have, not in a great situation, come in.

"There's been a lot of crisis management but I've dealt with that. I've been educated about that through my work as well because that's some of the things we teach coaches on the UEFA A licence course.

"We haven't changed much from what Pete and Jenks installed in the players.

"It's been a lot about managing the individuals because Pete and Jenks left the players in a good place.

"They are a good team, you don't become bad players overnight.

"They are a good group of lads but it won't be me who takes them through the next journey, it will be someone else.

"I just hope it's somebody who comes in and really values what this club is all about as it is stepped in history and good people."
