Hereford's general manager James Watts says the board looked at the bigger picture before making the decision to sack first team manager Pete Beadle.
The decision was taken at a board meeting last night and Watts says the club pay attention to what supporters say at the games as well as monitoring the attendances.
"A lengthy board meeting took place at the stadium last night between all of the directors of the football club," said Watts.
"There's a number of things and you've got to look at the bigger picture of the club. The club's heading in a direction in terms of a strategy, we obviously pay attention to what supporters say at the games, we judge the crowds.
"There's a number of factors that have lead to the decision. It's not just because we lost to Westfields, it's happened over a period of time. We're looking at where the club needs to be operationally to move forward."
Watts denied that supporters' comments on social media that was a factor in the board's decision, but they review what's shouted from the crowd at games.
"No, I wouldn't say that. I'd say that we review what supporters say, the shouts from the crowd, obviously the football in the stadium and the attendances," added Watts.
"It's a number of things and the club has a long-term business strategy, what it wants to do with the structure of the club, obviously we now have the academy.

"The club has got to have a structure going forwards and to get to where we need to be this decision was made to take place now rather than later on down the road."
