A Goal Is Needed To Get The Confidence Up Said Green

Interim player-manager Ryan Green feels that he's managed to spark some life into the squad, but they still need goals to get the confidence up.

"Yeah it was a good end to end tie, I think a draw was probably a fair result," Green told BBC H&W's Keith Hall.

"We possibly shaded it, but a long journey now on Wednesday I think the replay is, it'll be another tough game and we've got to rally the troops now, see who's fit and try and get the win.

"We sparked them (Hereford players) up a little bit, brought a couple in. It's Marlon's first game, he hasn't played since preseason, he was a little bit leggy so that's why we brought him off.

"Lance (Smith) was struggling with his ankle, but he managed 60 minutes, 60 good minutes, so hopefully he's fit on Wednesday.

"The young lad from Bristol City has come in last minute and I think he's done a hell of a job. He's a centre-back, I think that's the second time he's played left-back so fair play to him he's been brilliant."

There are still a number of players out through injury, with captain Jordan Cullinane-Liburd forced off having taken a knock to the face.

"Jordan has got a black-eye, he can't see out of his eye at the moment but put a bit of ice on it and he'll be fine after," added Green.

"Myself, I'll be touch and go, it's not a long-term injury but I'm hoping to be on the bench.

"The one good thing about the replay is that Eliot (Richards) and (Calvin) Dinsley will be back afterwards because it'll be their third game, so they'll be back for the next league game.

"They're a big strong team, very direct and you can see why they score so many goals from set pieces so we'll be aware of that. We defended very well today and it's good to get a clean sheet.

"It would be nice to get any kind of goal, off the shin or anything, just to get the confidence up."
