Bermudian International On Trial At Hereford

Jahquil Hill With Jordan Liburd
One of the two new trailists who played in Saturday’s game at Sporting Khalsa was Jahquil Hill.

Represented by Oakmont Black Sports, who are also the agents of Jamie Bird and Jordan Liburd, the 21-year-old is currently at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ academy.

He’s just returned from a short spell in Canada, having previously played for Rushall Olympic and Stafford Rangers. It was reported that he was going overseas to train with Toronto and see what football was like in Canada.

This came after a spell on trial with then-League 1 side Chesterfield. Hill told the Royal Gazette he was keen to try his luck at the Spireites, but in the end it didn’t work out. While on trial he described himself as a free-agent who was still training and ‘doing the right’ things.

Before that in January 2017, Hill made his international debut for Bermuda in a 4-2 friendly loss to Canada. He’s since gone on to make a further five appearances for his country, the latest being a goalless draw against Barbados.

Beadle will give Hill another 45 minutes in tomorrow evening’s friendly at Evesham United, but it’s expected it will be another game where the goalkeeper won’t be fully-tested.
