Hereford's vice-chairman Chris Williams is to step down from his role on the club's board in order to make way for the three new Hereford United Supporters Trust (HUST) nominated directors.
Williams says by staying on the club's board it could hold up the process of HUST going in the direction it wants to.
Williams told the official site: "Supporters, through HUST, gave me the opportunity to Chair the HUST Board and be a Director of Hereford FC for three years.
"As HUST has now identified three new nominated Directors, my resignation clears the way for the organisation to move in the direction it wants to, without the complication of my presence holding anything up."
Chairman Ken Kinnersley thanked Williams for his work as one of the original directors and getting the club up and running again.
Kinnersley said: "We are extremely grateful for the work that Chris has done here, especially relating to the safety certificates at Edgar Street as he played a significant role in ensuring we could open the ground in time for our first ever game against FC United of Manchester.
"He has been an important part of the club behind the scenes during our first three seasons and his presence on the board will be missed. However, we will all look forward to seeing Chris at games next season as he will continue to be a big supporter of the club.
"We would all like to wish Chris and his family all the very best for the future."
Information on the nominees can be found here (link). Any objection must be received by 6pm on 30th April. If no objections are received then the HUST Chairman will write to the football club to initiate the appointment of the three directors on or before 31 May 2018.
