King's Lynn 'Are A Really Good Side' Said Beadle

As well as his usual post match interview for the local media, Hereford manager Peter Beadle also spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester after yesterday's loss to King's Lynn.

"It was always going to be a close game and I thought it was exactly that," said Beadle.

"I felt that first half we certainly had the better chances. The two that dropped to Keyon and Pablo were great chances.

"And we've talked about big games like this - it's taking your chances.

"Then second half we fall asleep for one set piece and their second goal Martin will be disappointed to have let it in at his near post. But it was always going to be close.

"Second half we were a liitle bit flat and didn't seem to have that zip about us and I don't understand why.

"We had a great result in mid-week and trained well on Thursday but we didn't have that bit about us today.

"May be you credit King's Lynn for that, they are a really good side. They are up there for a reason and they've just shaded it again today."

Given the score was 0-0 at half-time and Hereford were playing towards the Meadow End after the restart, the second half was disappointing.

"First half they've only had the one real chance when their player broke clean through and Dara came across and defended it ever so well in the end. I think between Martin and Jimmy or Jack they cleared it from the six yard box.

"Then you think going down the slope towards our supporters we'll be able to get going but it was a cagey game. They are second, we are top and they've shown how good they can be when we were at their place.

"May be us not taking our chances was why we couldn't get going second half. We huffed and puffed but never really created a chance second half. Lots of balls in the box, lots of half things and thinking dropping down around people but we needed a little bit of luck for one ball to drop to us kindly but you also make your own luck.

"So well done to King's Lynn. They've closed the gap a little bit and we've got to pick ourselves up and go again on Tuesday."

Later Beadle returned to the King's Lynn goals

"One man falls asleep and loses his man and it's a free header in the six yard box and that's tough and then we have to chase it.

"Then they get the break-away for their second, fortunate with the finish. I'm sure Martin will be disappointed he's let it go in at his near post.

"And then all the huffing and puffing, the corners and balls in the box, it didn't fall our way today."
