UITC are pleased to anounce that they have been selected by the Co-op
to be one of their local organisations that their members can help
support by the simple use of their members card.
How do Co-op members support UITC?
Every time members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co-op Local Community Fund, which is shared between UITC and other causes supported by the Co-op.
UITC will also receive an equal share of the money they raise from sales of carrier bags.
Members in the local community will be able to choose to support UITC by logging in at coop.co.uk/membership and selecting the Young Leaders programme.
Members will need to register their card by creating an account following the helpful set up prompts.
How will UITC use the donated funds?
The monies that UITC receive will help us run a 12 week course for Year 6 pupils and develop leadership traits that will allow them to bring about positive change. By equipping and encouraging young people to take a more active role in their local community the project will help stimulate positive change that is owned and led by the community. It will contribute to people realising they have the knowledge and skills to make positive change happen for themselves, and empower them to come together to create solutions for the whole community.
