This from UITC:
Following
the announcement in December 2017, that United In The Community (UITC)
were handing over the running of the Football Academy to Hereford
FC, and were looking to cease operations in May 2018, the UITC trustees
are continuing to look at all avenues to continue with the Community
programme it currently delivers and expand into new areas.
UITC
are looking to develop their role within the community and are
therefore looking to rent out the facilities at their Central Park venue
for private use. The facility would make an ideal venue for those
involved in sports therapy to run their business from, organisations
looking for a small meeting room with outdoor space requirement and also
for local community groups to hold sports based activities. Trustees
will be on hand to take enquiries and arrange follow up appointments at
the venue.
There
will also be the opportunity for anyone who feel they can volunteer
some of their time to UITC, to register their details and explain what
help they can give to the organisation. UITC have a number of projects
that they would like to undertake, and whilst trustees and other members
of staff dedicate a vast amount of time to the organisation, an extra
pair of hands or two, would be very much appreciated.
The
UITC office in Blackfriars Street, will be open from 12noon to 3pm this
Saturday for further information to be given on the facilities that can
be hired out at Central Park and for volunteers to come forward.
Those popping in will be welcome to enjoy a free cup of coffee.
Bookings can also be made on our forthcoming February half-term soccer
schools. For
each booking made at the office on Saturday, the parent / guardian of
the child being booked onto the course, will receive a free entry into
the HUST 50/50 draw that will take place at half time of the Biggleswade
Town game.
Supporters
will also have the option to support UITC by purchasing a HFC 2018
calendar which are being sold by HUST. HUST will donate a percentage of
the money raised throm calendars purchased via UITC.
Supporters
will also have the option to make offers for a number of items that
will be on sale. Items will include a number of Hereford United player
shirts that were donated to UITC.
