News Round Up

Former Hereford United loanee Damon Lathrope has returned to Torquay for an undisclosed fee. Lathrope made eight appearances for the Bulls in 2013, with his wages during his month-long loan being paid for by the now-defunct HUISA.

Hereford are the visitors at Farnborough on Saturday, and ahead of kick off there will be a minute's applause to remember ex-academy player Harry Rice. The 17-year old was tragically killed when walking with two friends to a birthday party. The group were involved in a collision with an Audi in Hayes, and there will also be a tribute in the match day programme.

Lee Kearns has stepped down from his role as chairman of St Neots Town. Kearns has been at the helm for two years after taking over from his father, but says now is the time for the club to be run by 'those that have a long and established history'.

Former Hereford keeper Alex Harris made the headlines last weekend after saving and winning a penalty for new side Westfields. Harris said he's never been involved in such a game as Westfields drew 1-1 with Coventry Sphinx. The former Gloucester stopper saved Jamie Towers' spot-kick, and then with Westfields trailing 1-0 late in the game, Harris was brought down in the box after going up for a corner.

Over 1,000 fans turned out to watch cash-strapped Chester's U18s defeat their Gateshead counterparts last night. The game was free to watch, but fans were encouraged to donate as the club goes through the latest round of financial problems. £12,800 was donated, which means £35,000 of the £50k target has been raised in a week.

Former Bull Sam Clucas has apologised following his goal celebrations in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Arsenal. The FA are looking into the matter which saw Clucas mimic the spying symbol of a sex video. A Swans spokesperson told Wales Online that Clucas wasn't aware of the internet group and will speak to the player further to establish the facts.
