Alvechurch boss Ian Long has accused Hereford of making an illegal approach for defender Ashley Carter - with Long considering whether to report the Bulls.
The Bromsgrove Advertiser has reported that Alvechurch turned down an approach for Carter earlier in the season, but he believes Hereford have since tried to contact the player behind the club's back.
Long said: "It's both illegal and disrespectful to Alvechurch. As you can tell, I'm extremely unhappy about it because I believed we had a good relationship with Hereford.
"Just because Hereford are a big club, doesn't mean they can do what they like and I will be speaking with our chairman over the situation."
Carter was apparently contacted by Hereford on Sunday, while he was with 'Church chairman Richard Thorndike.
Carter passed the phone to Thorndike and the call ended - the player then admitted that there had been previous contact.
