Towards the end of his post match interview at Chesham yesterday Hereford manager Peter Beadle spoke about the supporters and also looked forward to Merthyr on Boxing Day.
"I thought our fans were brilliant again today," said Beadle.
"We've had a lot of games and they've followed us everywhere.
"I'm delighted we got the win for them right at the end as they'll go home estatic now because it was so late.
"Merthyr will be as close to a derby as we're going to get.
"Obviously we want to help out as much as we can for them to get them in a better place. They gave us so much help setting up.
"It will be interesting to see what team they've played today as when they played Basingstoke they left a lot of their main players out.
"So it will be interesting to see who they've played to see if they are saving them for the game against us. It's their choice but maybe it's not the way to do things when you are are competing in the league. You should play your strongest side every week.
"If the players are available then you should play them to pick up as many points as they can between now and the end of the season.
"But we'll be ready, we're always ready. It's the same whoever we play home or away.
"It's their cup final and we'll go there trying to pick up as many points as we can."
