Merthyr manager Gavin Williams said he was pleased with a point from the game against a below par Hereford this afternoon.
"I'm pleased," Williams told BN.
"When I've got that team on the pitch we'll give anyone a game.
"We should have won last Saturday against Kings Lynn, we probably had about 70% possession, and today we've probably matched the best team in the League.
"It's pleasing but I'm a winner, I want to win games of football.
"I am proud of what they've done but at the end of the day it's a point at home and we want to win games.
"Obviously Hereford had a bit of a off day and I thought we had the better chances towards the end and maybe could have nicked it at the end.
"The young lad has gone through one on one with the keeper, on another day he slots it in.
"But we know how strong Hereford are and we knew it was going to be a tough game.
"These games sort of take care of themselves, the crowd is up for it, the players are up for it.
"There's been times when we've struggled to get a team together.
"Today we had eight or nine senior players and we were a good team."
Williams was asked if most of the players are back with Merthyr.
"No they are not all back with us, the Welsh window opens in January so I'll probably know more in January how many are staying."
Finally Williams was asked how were matters financially at the club.
"Fingers crossed it's the plan to get through it.
"I have to thank the Hereford fans for turning up in the numbers they did to help us raise much needed cash for our club at this time.
"It's so pleasing that this was a home game, rather than an away game, so we've fallen lucky in that aspect."
