Fleetwood Manager: We Tried Everything To Win But It Wasn't Enough

Speaking to the media after today's game, Fleetwood Town manager Uwe Rosler felt as if his side should've done more to win today.

They were held to a 1-1 draw by Hereford, with the two sides separated by some 89 league places.

Rosler said: "In the first half we were in control, but the most disappointing thing for me is that we couldn't keep a clean sheet.

"I told the players before that if we do get that clean sheet, we would give ourselves a chance to go further in the competition.

"In the second half we didn't keep the ball well enough. The game was up and down, which suited us regarding creating chances. We had three or four great opportunities, but didn't put them away.

"We should have scored more goals today."

Rosler emphasised that there's an issue with Town not being able to keep a clean sheet.

Calvin Dinsley scored for Hereford in the 23rd minute with a rasping effort.

"We made it difficult for ourselves. My players need to understand that there is a reason why he play three centre-halves.

We want to keep clean sheets but at the moment we can't do that, there is an issue. We tried everything to win the game, and not to have another game in our busy schedule, but it wasn’t enough.

"We were close, but not close enough."
