Coote To Referee Cup Replay

Nottinghamshire based David Coote is to referee tomorrow's FA Cup replay between Hereford and Fleetwood.

Coote has been in the middle for 13 games this season to date, the vast majority being in the Championship.

In those games he has given out 48 yellow cards and one red card.

A former Select Group assistant referee, Coote was appointed as an EFL referee in 2010. He has officiated at Wembley four times, and took charge of the FA Vase Final and League One Play-Off Final in 2014.

As part of the PGMO exchange programme he has visited Japan, refereeing two senior matches and acting as fourth official in other games. Also a talented cricketer, Coote played cricket for Notts at various youth age groups before committing to his refereeing career.

Coote has refereed at Edgar Street before. On October 1st 2011 he took charge of a game between Hereford United and Stockport County. Rob Purdie was in the starting eleven that afternoon.
