We've Done Exceptionally Well in the FA Cup Said Beadle

Pete Beadle spoke to BT Sport after Saturday's game

Hereford manager Peter Beadle was on Talk Sport this afternoon, he spoke about last night's FA Cup draw.

The Bulls will come up against League One Fleetwood Town in the next round.

Beadle said: "Like everybody, you want a home draw most importantly. If we'd have had them at Edgar Street it may have attracted TV, and we're trying to raise the profile of the club.

"But it's a still a great tie for us, to achieve the second round in our third season we've done exceptionally well and should be proud of what we've achieved.

"Hopefully we can go there and give them a good run for their money."

Talk then turned to the phoenix club's brief history.

"It's been a whirlwind couple of years. In the first season we had to start a fresh. We had to find training facilities and players, and we were starting in a league that we knew very little about.

"We lost three of our first five games and everyone started to panic, but we changed it around and got a few new players in and then we went on a run of 28 wins on the bounce.

"It culminated with a league championship and a trip to Wembley in the Vase where we took 20,000 fans.

"The momentum after that has been great. We went up to the division above last season and lost only one league game in the process. We won the league by about 17 points in the end.

"It's really important to keep that momentum going on and off the field. Behind the scenes there's a lot of extremely important people working hard, a lot of them as volunteers, putting their time and effort in to keeping things going."

Back to the FA Cup.

"We know we're punching way above our weight in this competition at the moment.

"We're just happy to be in it still, and it's raising the profile of the club. The momentum and profile are two really important things that go hand in hand.

"We just want to keep it going as long as we can.

"We've beaten teams from higher levels in the last two rounds, one of them being away from home at Eastleigh.

"We'll go there with no fear, and a chance to express ourselves. But on a cup day, who knows?"
