Playing At Edgar Street Will Be Brilliant Said Tenbury Manager

Hereford FC will be back in action the Tuesday after the Telford FA Cup game (November 7th) with a HFA Cup game against Tenbury United.

The game was set to be played at Tenbury but the club doesn't have floodlights so will be played at Edgar Street.

“It is a brilliant draw for Tenbury United and will be a great evening for the players and supporters,” said joint manager Nicky Stocker as reported by the Tenbury Advertiser.

“I’m not sure how many of their own fans will be there or even what sort of side they will put out but for us it is the chance to play at a proper stadium and on a decent pitch.

“I don’t expect us to win – even if they put in their fringe players they should still be better than us – but it will be a chance for our lads to play some football and show just what they are capable of.

“We have a couple of young lads who are decent and this will give them a good opportunity to perform in front of Hereford’s coaches.”

Stocker is looking forward to a return to Hereford.

“I was on Hereford’s books as a youth player for a couple of seasons but never got to play at Edgar Street.

"Our matches were over at Belmont and I was injured for the two games we played at the ground.”
