Hereford Came 'With A Very Good Game Plan' Said Weymouth Manager

Weymouth manager Paul Maitland gave credit to Hereford after their 2-0 win this afternoon.

"The win was really a fair reflection of the game," said Maitland.

"I think they came with a very good game plan and they stayed on the page with what they were trying to do.

"A bit more experienced and I think we allowed them to dictate the game too much.

"We had our moments but you have to have more than five minute moments in the game. We had about five minutes in each half when we were on top and that's not enough.

"A lot of the game cancelled each other out but I felt even the first goal we should have done better and the second goal was a bit of a worldly one but we haven't got out to the line of the ball and closed down.

"He's put it in the top corner and then we've gone down the other end, got a penalty but the keeper made a good save, he went the right way and then after that he's made two very good saves.

"This league is about fine margins. Today we came out the wrong side of that.

"Hereford were very professional in everything they did and they had a game plan which they executed very well and I thought we didn't impose ourselves on them enough."
