Hereford FC striker Lance Smith is expected to be out for at least four weeks after breaking a toe in training according to BBC Hereford and Worcester.
Later Smith tweeted:
'Training Tuesday, foot stepped on, Toe Broke, 4 weeks out. Happy start to the season'
Meanwhile Hereford manager Peter Beadle has spoken about Jamie Molyneux.
"He basically slipped on a step," Beadle told BBC H&W
"Walking down the stairs, he slipped on the stairs and twisted his ankle and it's the ankle that he did last season.
"He is back running but we'll see what reaction he gets. If it's nothing too serious then he'll do some more work and hopefully we'll get him back involved in training at some point next week."
