Beadle Has 'Great Faith' In Edge

Jamie Edge After Scoring Against Romulus In The FA Cup Last September
Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle has 'great faith' in midfielder Jamie Edge.

Edge failed to hold down a place in the starting eleven last season but Beadle feels there are a couple of reasons why that happened.

"Jamie was coming out of full-time education and then started working, which can take its toll with travelling to every game, but I have great faith in him," Beadle told the Hereford Times.

"He understands that he has got to do certain things better and would be the first to admit that he didn't have the best of seasons.

"He is still a young lad, but with vast experience who spent time at Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion and has played in Conference North and South.

"He is an excellent technician who brings a lot to the table, we just didn't see enough of it last year."

Joel Edwards
Beadle has also spoken to the Hereford Times about Joel Edwards who has been released.

“Joel is a local boy and has got family living here, but for where the club is trying to go, it was the right thing to do,” said Beadle.

“I’ve got certain expectations in certain positions and what I expect my players to do in terms of their performances.

“I asked Joel to do that this season and some things he did well but on other things he struggled a bit.

"People can see that he’s dynamic and see his commitment in his tackling but there were certain things that I asked from him and I haven’t quite seen it."
