Throwback Thursday - May, Riot Police & Mills

This week's Throwback Thursday features three clips. Thank you to Mark Farmer for supplying me with new archive material.

Firstly Leroy May enjoyed two spells at Edgar Street firstly from 1993-1994, and 1999-2000. The striker later turned male stripper was a popular player with supporters.

Secondly here are the scenes after the full time whistle against Brighton on 3rd May 1997. A police helicopter circles the Edgar Street pitch,as riot police and alsatians keep the Hereford supporters away from the celebrating Brighton fans.

Thirdly we had a striker in the 2004-2005 season who also had the surname Mills. His first name was Lee and ended his career at Edgar Street at the age of 34, he had previously played for Wolves, Derby, Stoke and Manchester City. The footage is an interview with Mills ahead of the Stevenage play off game. You can spot Ryan Green and Rob Purdie in the background.
