Beadle's Verdict On The First Half Of The Season

Hereford's season in the Southern League South and West has reached half-way and the return, so far, is commendable. They've played 21 games from which they've taken 57 points.

The goal difference is 43, 58 scored and just 15 conceeded.

"Good, but must do better," said manager Peter Beadle after yesterday's 1-0 win at Wantage.

"It's always the same, we're always looking to progress.

"As good as the performance was to win the game, I've picked out a few little bits we need to improve on. We're must always try and be better.

"You look at the points we've dropped this season so far, Tiverton away after taking the lead, the goal that we gave away disappointing. Didcot in the way we gave both goals away disappointing.

"Tuesday night mistakes yes although we played okay.

"But we've done great to be where we are, sat at the top 21 games in and unbeaten and we've just got to keep it going as long as we can.

"It's never over until it's over, we'll never count our chickens, we won't be complacent.

"We've just got to make sure we take every game as it comes and make sure we keep performing to the levels we have been.

"The lads have been fantastic. It does take a different type of player to play here and to do well here and the boys are doing great at the moment."
