South And West Review Of Tuesday's Game

Here's a lookback at the three games played last Tuesday written by Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Hereford FC moved seven points clear at the top of the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One South & West table after beating Larkhall Athletic 2-1 at Edgar Street on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

In front of another excellent crowd of 2,140, the scoreline looked close but the Bulls were well on top for the majority of the game despite only managing to score twice through Pablo Haysham after 57 minutes and top scorer John Mills two minutes later.

And although Larkhall pulled a goal back through substitute Tom Knighton with 12 minutes to go, Hereford`s defence was rarely troubled.

Steve Claridge`s Salisbury side are not finding things quite as comfortable as fellow promotees Hereford so far and they were held to a 2-2 draw at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium by a Swindon Supermarine side who are now fifth.

A crowd of 507 saw the Whites race into a 2-0 lead in the Wiltshire derby with goals from Lewis Benson after 27 minutes and George Colson a minute before half-time. Brad Hooper replied four minutes after the beak and then Connor Waldon equalised for `Marine with 17 minutes remaining.

Tuesday`s other game between Taunton Town and Slimbridge ended goalless at Wordsworth Drive
