Banned Hereford fans warned not to go to Bridgwater Town match

The Hereford Times have released an article this evening saying that banned Hereford fans are warned not to go to Bridgwater Town match. The paper reports the three people currently subject to a banning order at Edgar Street have been warned not to travel to Bridgwater tomorrow for Hereford FC's latest match. The Bulls have confirmed that Bridgwater will be enforcing the bans, with enhanced stewarding arrangements in place for the match.

“It is clear that clubs are now being asked to provide a more robust approach to stewarding this season for the safety of all supporters," said Hereford chief executive Ken Kinnersley.

"As part of this, the police involved have been exchanging information between forces and with host clubs regarding potential issues.

And here are Kinnersley's words as reported by Hereford FC.

Club CEO Ken Kinnersley noted: “It is clear that clubs are now being asked to provide a more robust approach to stewarding this season for the safety of all supporters. As part of this the Police involved have been exchanging information between forces and with host clubs regarding potential issues.

“Bridgwater have also informed us that they will also be enforcing the bans Hereford FC issued to three people in relation to Edgar Street earlier this month. Furthermore, Bishops Cleeve met with Gloucestershire Police this week over their plans which include employing stewards used by Cheltenham Town for the match on December 27th.

“We’ve been heartened that our actions have been well received by supporters and we will continue to strive to ensure that our matches are played at grounds that can be considered safe family environments for all to enjoy the match. With the decision by tomorrows hosts we advise those who are subject to current Hereford FC bans not to try to gain admission at Bridgwater. Any of those concerned who do, or attempt to gain entry will have the current Hereford FC ban reviewed by the Directors.“
