It's Back To The League This Evening

After an early exit from both the FA Cup and the FA Trophy, it's back to the League for Hereford FC this evening with a game against Paulton Rovers.

It will be the first time a team from Paulton has played at Edgar Street.

Hereford remain top of the Southern League South and West whilst Paulton are currently 19th.

However Hereford's lead is just one point over Mangotsfield.

Manager Peter Beadle was disappointed with the performance of his defence last Saturday. For the second Saturday running the opposition scored four goals mainly because of mistakes at the back.

Given they've only conceeded four goals in nine League games, Beadle's frustration was understandable.

Hopefully Jimmy Oates will be back at right back this evening and Chris Parry might get a recall over Jamie Willets.

Who will be in goal is also uncertain. Last Saturday Martin Horsell was preferred to Alex Harris.

With Rob Purdie available to play in mid-field, Beadle has another choice to make in whether he pairs Purdie with Jamie Edge or sticks with recent signing Mike McGrath.

Latest signing Jamie Molyneux will be available and winger Tristan Plummer will hopefully be fully recovered from his virus illness.

Tickets for the game remain available both online or in person at the club from 10am.

Update 12noon: Purdie is said to be a doubt for this evening's game.
