Hereford Game 'Promises To Be Great Occasion'

Wimborne manager Matty Holmes has said that tomorrow's game against Hereford promises to be a 'great occasion'.

“I’ve been in the pro game long enough to know that if they don’t come and treat us with respect, they will find out pretty sharpish what we are all about," Holmes told the Daily Echo.

“We treat every team with huge respect but set out how we want to play and will go from there.

“I played at Edgar Street a few times in my Bournemouth days and it is a wonderful club.

“My brother Danny was at Aldershot in the 1990s when they rose from the flames and started in the Ryman League.

“I was at West Ham at the time but would get to the odd game and they took coach loads of supporters to some of the smaller grounds.

“This game is reminiscent of that and I’m looking forward to seeing their fans come to our ground.

“Hopefully, they will like the way we play and we can enjoy watching the way their team plays. It promises to be a great occasion.”

Wimborne are expecting a good crowd for the game.

“Hopefully, people will want to watch us against a very good Hereford side that should get automatic promotion.”
