This morning Hereford FC set off for Barnstaple for a Southern League South and West fixture.
Normally travelling to Barnstaple should take just over three hours according to Michelin. However it's August Bank Holiday Saturday and given the journey includes both the M5 and the A361.
How busy both routes will be remains to be seen.
However there has to be a question asked why teams need to make such long journeys on a Bank Holiday.
As well as Hereford playing at Barnstaple, Bideford travel to Evesham.
One would have thought it might have been better if Evesham and Hereford had met and Barnstaple played Bideford.
