Hereford travel over the border and into Wales on Tuesday evening when they travel to Undy Athletic. Kick off is 7:15pm and admission is £5 for adults.
History (taken from Undy's official website)
Undy was formed in 1947 and the changing facilities were in Undy Church Hall, using a tin bath for washing. Club colours at that time were black and white. Unfortunately in 1962 the club was disbanded, due to lack of support. The club was reformed in 1970 but it was not until 1981 that they appointed a manager. During that 11 year period Undy operated without any team managers and a selection committee picked the teams every week. In recent years Undy have seen a continual improvement of the first team and during the 2010/11 season they won the Gwenty County first division and gained promotion to the Welsh football league. The following season they went on to win promotion from the Welsh third division. Since then they established themselves in the 2nd division and last season they gained promotion to Welsh division 1.
Former Undy goalkeeper Rhys Wilmot played 9 matches for Hereford United in 1983 on a loan spell from Arsenal.
