Club Confirms Executive Club Move

Hereford FC have confirmed the news that the Executive Club is to move to the former VP Rooms.

This from Hereford FC:

Early last week refurbishment work commenced in the former Vice Presidents’ (VP) Club premises at Edgar Street after Hereford FC’s Board of Directors took the decision to relocate the Executive Club to that facility from the start of the 2016/17 season.
The decision was due in part to the great success of the club’s corporate hospitality offerings in its first season which has meant that on several occasions the ‘RE Resource Group Lounge’ – formerly known as the Starlite Room – was very close to being full to capacity and therefore not as relaxing for our guests as we hoped it should be.
Therefore, by relocating the Executive Club to the former VP Club from the start of next season, Hereford FC will be able to create additional space for hospitality tables to be sold in the RE Resource Group Lounge.
These hospitality packages are an integral source of income for Hereford FC on matchdays, and hosting as many dining guests as possible at games is a key part of ensuring Hereford FC remains sustainable.
Speaking about this decision, Hereford FC Chairman, Jon Hale, said:
‘We have been delighted by the success of our corporate hospitality programme in our first season and we have regularly hosted more than 50 diners at our home games. In fact, on three occasions we have entertained more than 100 guests on a matchday.
‘By moving the Executive Club – and its growing membership of Season Ticket holders and sponsors – into the former VP Club we will create more space to host tables upstairs and therefore grow our hospitality business still further.
‘We also feel it is vitally important that we look after our sponsors and all of our customers as well as we possibly can on a match day, and the refurbishment of this facility will offer them an environment where business continues to mix well with pleasure.
‘However, to relocate the Executive Club we have had to commit to making a significant capital investment in terms of the refurbishment work, as there is a large amount of asbestos removal work. This is work that simply has to be done to ever make this part of the stadium usable again.
‘The asbestos removal is in addition to the general renovation work which has to be done – work which will require new mechanical and electrical installations and structural improvements forming part of this extensive package.
‘On top of these initial project elements, there are also the usual ‘fit out’ requirements to accommodate – all of which must be done during a very tight timeline and with a stringent budget.
‘Everyone at Hereford FC is committed to ensuring we utilise all our assets to the very best advantage of the football club and this project fits with these objectives and disciplines. It is a hugely important part of our updated business and commercial plan moving forward.
‘Finally, whilst talking about the Executive Club, I’d just like to remind all of our supporters that anyone can become a member and then enjoy the refurbished and improved facility.
‘Season tickets do cost more than standard prices, but Executive Season Tickets include admission and executive seats to every single Hereford FC home game during the season, and also access to a dedicated bar for pre and post-match entertainment, as well as at half time.
‘In the near future we will be releasing all season ticket prices for the 2016/17 season and rates for the Executive Club will be included in that announcement.’
