Peter Beadle doesn't currently have a contract with Hereford FC so in theory could leave at any time but as he told BN who wouldn't want to stay given the season the club is having.
"I've never had a contract here," he said.
"At the start of the year I'm sure the board were obviously cautious and nervous and wanted to see how the season panned out.
"There's been no talk of anything like that for next year so, at the moment, obviously after today the season has now finished so that makes me free to speak to anybody else.
"Of course I'd like to stay, who wouldn't the way things are going at the moment.
"But as for a contract there's nothing like that in place at the moment.
"It would be nice to be thought of in the way that you would be offered a contract as a reward for the work we've done and my staff.
"Even though the players have been fantastic this year behind the scenes, not a lot of people see this, the amount of games we go to and the travelling we do and the work behind the scenes with staff with Roger with the kit and Jony with the injuries, sometimes he tries to get them in in his own time. Roger is in a lot of time during the week with the kit. We travel and watch quite a few games.
"So it's an awful lot of work that goes on behind the scenes as well as the players having to come out and play every week.
"A reward for the work we have done would always be nice.
"The fact that we're here is bonus enough because it's a fantastic club to be at and we're happy to be what we are doing, we've really enjoyed the season so far, we've had a fantastic year, we've got one trophy in the cabinet and now we're on to the next one on Monday."
