News Round-Up

Torquay's financial issues have reached a point where manager Kevin Nicholson is now also the team bus driver. The Gulls have taken a loan minibus to their last few away matches, with Nicholson and assistant Robbie Herrera the only ones capable of driving the vehicle.

Dover chairman Jim Parmenter has threatened to quit the club due to low attendances at The Crabble. The National League side had less than 600 to their last home match, with Parmenter saying he had put £3million into the club over the past 11 years, but has now 'had enough' with the low gates.

Cash strapped Gosport Borough have sold goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore to Ebbsfleet for a 'substantial fee'. The National South side had failed to pay their players for two weeks. Heanor Town have appointed Steve Hamilton as their new no.2. The much travelled coach has worked with a series of clubs in the area including Long Eaton.

FA Vase semi-finalists Morpeth Town are facing a fixture backlog after a string of postponements. The Northern League outfit have played only 20 league games so far, eight less than leaders Shildon, and face 13 league matches during April with three each week.

Telford have put season tickets on sale for next season, offering discounts of up to a third for anyone purchasing in March. The National North club, who have acknowledged difficult financial times, have also confirmed they will continue to explore a change to their ownership structure. The club say they aim to return to the fifth tier by 2020.
