In a statement released late this afternoon, Salisbury FC have asked Hereford supporters not to purchase tickets for the home end for the second leg of the FA Vase semi final.
This is part of their statement:
Due to that segregation and the areas
which can be safely contained, for the benefit of all, both home and
away supporters, Hereford FC have initially been allocated 657 tickets
for the leg at the Ray Mac on Saturday March 19th. This includes one of
the two LED Synergy Family Stands and goes around to, and includes part
of, The Partridge Way End terracing.
We would like to point out
that FA guidelines say that away supporters should be allocated a
minimum of 15 per cent of capacity.
Given the terms of our safety
certificate, segregation arrangements and the advice of the authorities,
our capacity for our home leg has been set at 3,364. That means 2,707
tickets for home supporters, media, guests and dignitaries.
The Hereford FC allocation
therefore represents virtually 20 per cent of our capacity. As well as
giving as many of our own fans the chance to see this historic game, we
wanted to be fair to our visitors, acknowledging their large fan base,
and we hope Salisbury FC supporters will understand this.
We would urge Hereford
FC supporters not to seek to secure tickets for home areas. If they do,
it is possible they could be refused entry to the ground or ejected
from it on the day.
We are happy with our own
allocation of 725 from Hereford FC for the away leg on Saturday March
12th, which represents almost exactly 15 per cent of their own available
capacity of 4,913.
PLEASE NOTE: We reserve the right to ask for identification to
check that tickets for home fan areas are going to home fans, so people
are advised to bring ID. We have been advised by police that the game
needs to be strictly segregated.
