Mascot Loghan Jones Followed By Captain Joel Edwards, Harvey Rivers and Nathan Summers |
It took only 5 minutes before Hereford started to threaten, unfortunately a Mills glancing header was easily saved. A few minutes later Wulfrunians managed to get a shot on target but it was easily dealt with by Rivers. The opening period was fairly quiet although Hereford did have a couple of chances with Tumelty seeing his shot saved and Mills saw his shot blocked by a defender. In the 19th minute it appeared that the game may liven up as John Mills attacked but was brought down inside the box and the referee gave a penalty. Unfortunately, Mills put his shot wide of the goal.

AFC Wulfrunians equalised within 2 minutes of the restarts as Rivers cleared the ball only for it to hit Summers and fall to Wulfrunians Gregg to place it into an empty net. Pilling had the first chance of the second half for Hereford with just under 10 minutes gone but his shot went over. The second half continued to be slow and quiet affair as Hereford found it tough to break down Wulfrunians.
Hereford did manage a few chances in the second half but failed to take the lead. Firstly, Bundu came close in the 70th minute but his looping header hits the top of the net. Then in injury time Tumelty crossed a ball into the box, only for a Wulfrunians player to slice the ball over his over net. Hereford's final chance fell in the last minute of injury time but Symons put his shot over.
