No Pressure Says Hartley Joint Manager

Hartley Wintney's FA Vase tie against Hereford on Saturday is probably the biggest game in their history to date.

The club has never before reached the fifth round of the competition and being drawn against Hereford has made the tie even more glamorous.

It looks as though the tie will be close to a sell out. A limit of 1300 has been put on the gate. Hartley Wintney have sold out of tickets, whilst Hereford have a few left which will go on sale at Edgar Street tomorrow morning at 10am.

Hartley continue to lead the Combined Counties Premier Division after a 3-0 win at home to AFC Hayes on Saturday. Currently they have 59 points from their 23 games.

“It’s going to be a great occasion for the club," said Hartley Wintney joint manager Daniel Brownlie.

"We’re proud to be able to deliver such an occasion for a club that work so hard in creating a welcoming atmosphere and professional standard.
"In terms of the game itself, we are obviously well documented underdogs, a term that I am more than happy to adopt. One of the great things about being an underdog, is that there’s no pressure."
